Family Camp
|

A Past Family Camp, at Walton Firs Scout Camp We had a great time at the Family Camp with over 100 people attending and fantastic weather. Everyone had a great time and it will be hard to better it next year. Great thanks to Roy Binden and Andrew Price who organised the camp and to our fantastic camp catering team (Richard and Angela Davies, Helen Price and many others). Thanks also to Mike Lee and Graham Harris for taking a days holiday to put up the mess tent ahead of us all arriving. Whilst we were there we were visited by Lady Baden-Powell and members of the Walton Firs Foundation. The Scout Association are selling the campsite in 2007 (as well as other scout campsites) and a charity has been setup to raise £800,000 to keep the site for scouting needs. Our first activity on Saturday morning —Pioneering. We were split into four teams and had to assemble our own tripods which were then linked together.
