What do the Exec do?

5th Woodley Scout Group is run by volunteers. You need an Exec Committee to be an official scout group and also for our charity status.

Charity Status

Our registration number is 900400 and our charity details can be found here on the Charity Commission website.

Fundraising

We are funded through subscriptions, fundraising and grants. We are all volunteers so all money goes on the upkeep of the hut, equipment, insurance, electricity/rates, and capital reserves for the rebuild of our hut.

Fundraising events include our Pagoda Sales held at Woodley Precinct twice a year. We ask parents to donate items and we raise over £300 at each sale. Another event is our ‘Smash the Crockery’ stall at Woodley Carnival.
